Disability Insurance

Carney offers all full-time employees long-term disability (LTD) and short-term disability (STD) coverage through Lincoln. Both plans are designed to provide income replacement if you become disabled and are unable to work. The LTD benefit replaces 60% of your monthly earnings, to a maximum of $10,000 per month. The maximum length of time that you are eligible to receive LTD benefits is to your normal social security retirement age. STD provides continuation of your salary at 60% of your pre-disability weekly earnings. The maximum weekly benefit you can receive is $1,500. The maximum length of time that you are eligible to receive STD benefits is 11 weeks.
