Chubb understands that employees may need to take time off from work to care for themselves or a family member. Consistent with the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA), Chubb has established a family and medical leave policy that provides eligible employees with unpaid job protection due to the employee’s or an immediate family member’s serious health condition, a qualifying urgent situation or emergency arising from a family member’s active duty or call to active duty, the care for a seriously ill or injured family member who is a current member or veteran of the military, and to care for a newborn child, a newly placed foster child or a newly adopted child.
