Some groups allow/encourage mobile worker. But it seems like more and more, they ask people to come into work.

Most positions can work from home - this creates good work-life balance. it also allows your team mates to completely hide out at home and do virtually no work. Working from home increases your chance of getting nailed in the constant layoffs.

It's awesome to be able to work from home. I tend to work longer hours though.

Being able to work from home is amazing. It does take commitment. However, in my job role, if I am not responding to someone within 2 hours, they are looking for me... despite how busy I might be with someone else. I feel like they get more work out of me by not making me commute for 3-4 hours a day.
