Best thing 4 choices and good coverage. Worst thing, the plan provider unless you are in CA is only Anthem, and I have had problems with them and claim payment at past companies. You really never know how good/bad you insurance company is until you have a real hospital claim that costs 10's of thousands of dollars and suddenly they start rejecting things.

The offerings for CA-based employees seem great. There are fewer choices for remote employees, none of which are the best: basically US employees get nationwide Blue Cross/Blue Shield. At least there are many coverage levels, including high deductible + savings plan. Proportion paid by company v. employee seems pretty typical; I've been at companies that are both higher and lower.
