Vacation & Paid Time Off

2 weeks first year with increases based on tenure. After 9 years I had 4 weeks of vacation

At times the manager won't let you take the time of you requested for vacation

My boss actually used my vacation time to pay me at one point without my approval. Many times you're forced to use your vacation time for when weeks are slow just to make sure you have a decent paycheck. Only time you can take vacation time is in the summer when students are off campus

Once to qualified you could take all your time off on vacation or split it throughout the year.

Difficult to accumulate paid time off. Takes years to accumulate extra days off. No sick days offered, must use vacation days.

5 PTO days for 2 years of service

You lost it if you did not use it

The paid time off is okay. It is really hard to accrue, and you can't take time off if you don't have enough PTO, which is frustrating. If you do save it you have to use it by the end of Septermber, or you lose it because it does not roll over.
