it's better than nothing, but doesn't pay for enough. there is a $1500 yearly limit and they only pay 100% per year for 1 cleaning 1 exam and 1 x-ray. Everything else is paid at 50%. so any extensive dental work requires a lot of out of pocket expense and the out of pocket expense is separate from any medical out of pocket monies you have to pay
