Average sort of 401k for the DoD contracting industry. Nothing special. Ok.

They match up to 4% (calculated max per pay period) - but the company does not inform employees that if they accelerate their own contributions, the company limit is still 4% based on annual - -so if one contribute too fast, they leave money on the table. It's a known issue and they company is about the bottom line - not the employees.

Decent match and offer Roth. Don't provide Summary plan description which means you have to look around for the plan details.

Typical 401k matching up to 3%

The best thing is that the match starts day 1 and it is a dollar for dollar match to 4% of your annual salary.

They used to match 1:1 up to 4%, now they match 1:0.5 up to 8%. So you have to withhold more to get the same amount from the company. Kinda sucks, but still helps me out in the long-term
