Company has changed a lot during COVID-19 on policy working from home. Flexible and cares about employees feeling of being safe, I think this flexibility is long term.

Company historically very rigid and traditional. Very impressed with how senior leadership managed working remotely though COVID (although business results for 2020 are still compared to pre-COVID targets which is unrealistic and hurts employees in highly performing business segments).

It goes without saying that this benefit is not likely to occur for those that work in the manufacturing environment. COVID-19 was the only thing that allowed nonessential manufacturing personnel to work from home.
For those in the corporate and regional offices, this is more likely to be possible. Still, there is an unspoken expectation that you continue to come into the office for most if not all of the week.
As a program consultant, I had the opportunity to work from home permanently and I took it. I worked and functioned happily with the highest year-end performance scores for a couple of years before being laid off.
