Store level employees have the opportunity to get a bonus based on how they do on sales. The company sets sales goals and if the store meets or exceeds its sale goal, then you get a bonus. The amount you get is based off of what your specific store's YTD sales were for the previous year, what percentage above the current month's goal you make, and what level of employee you are. If you are a key holder or sales associate, you could get anywhere between an additional $0.60-$2.00 per hour that you worked for the month. SM and ASM get a specific dollar amount, between $50-$700. Store sales goals are divided by person, but even though you do have a personal sales goal, this is only used for performance tracking and scheduling, and you do not make a bonus from that. The only way you will receive a bonus is if the store makes it's sales goal as a whole.

You have to make your monthly goal to even consider getting your bonus. You get 10% of the amount that you make over your goal. It never ends up being much. Commission would be better.

The bonus is good if you're there all the time and make a lot of sales. The Christmas bonus used to be amazing and now it's complete crap. They'll give you an earthbound gift card if you go way over your sales on top of 1% of your total sales. Managers don't get the gift card. Their bonus is a lot higher but if they go over, they get a chance to compete with the top 3 stores in the entire company for three paid days off!! lame

We only earn 1% of our total sales for the month, and that's only if the store makes its goal as well. So if you have an amazing month but the rest of the store does terribly, you're SOL on that front.
