I think Exempt employees can take up to about 80 hrs sick time. After that and they may consider you unreliable and take some sort of action. It will affect your performance review and annual performance bonus.

I rarely use them. Employees are permitted 60 hours of sick time before triggering disciplinary action. 2 consecutive years can result in loss of raise and/or bonus. 3 consecutive years can result in termination. With FMLA provisions and Vacation hours, there is no possible way an employee should ever incur more than 60 hours of sick time for 2 years in a row.
