Get 5 days paid sick days which isn't much

there are generous paid sick days.

Most employees use them as part of their vacation days or a personal day because Esri's vacation benefit is terrible. I don't have kids but I hear their maturity leave benefits are bad as well so they use any remaining sicks days.

5 days per year is what you get.

40 hours of sick time is given per calendar year.

one week per calendar year allotted for sick days. Can use your bank time as sick time off as well
