Couple of different ways to get performance bonuses, and they can add up. Quarterly stretch goals are set, and if you hit them, you can get as much as an extra paycheck. If you hit 80%, you only get 80% of the bonus. Also EOY bonuses, dibursed at Manager's discretion, to their team.
