They are understandable when it comes to Family Medical Leave.

I'd say GEICO definitely looks after you and the health of your family. I have heard that the claims department is a very busy environment and can be very stressful so even though you get the time off you may come back to quite a stack of work. As the essence of most jobs though, I would imagine.

The company does provide FMLA benefits - but do make sure the doctor fills out the forms correctly, if not they will count all the days against you even if its the doctors mistake in filling out the paperwork incorrectly
