At Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. we do not have a traditional sick pay policy with accrued benefits. Instead, we have a more flexible “no fault” attendance policy that provides paid time off for unplanned/unscheduled absences, late arrivals or leaving early with a focus on how those absences impact employee performance without a specific limit on the number of absences allowed. The reasons for unplanned absences are not taken into account, unless they fall into a protected category such as family/medical leave. We believe that this policy provides flexibility for our dedicated employees who have busy and sometimes unscheduled lives.
