Cigna HSA has top-notch coverage for both in-network and out-of-network care. Maximim out-of-pocket is lower than previous employer's plan.

Plan is very competitive considering the challenge most employers are facing maintaining solid health benefits.

Cigna is a sub-par provider. I had better experience (in terms of participating providers and customer service support) with an Aetna plan prior to arriving here. VSP for eye care offers poor benefits for contact lens wearers.

Complex, it comprises a part time job in its own right, extremely high deductible, problems getting physicians to accept, and often physicians use labs not paid for by this insurance. Great if you're well, a nightmare if you're sick. Wish I could choose my own insurance on the state health exchange, so I could make my own decisions on the tradeoffs.
