Company only matches 25 cents to every dollar from you. Not sure what is standard but I personally know people who work for companies that match 1:1 or even 2:1.
The company WILL start you on a 401k and raise or lower your contribution unless you go out of your way and OPT OUT or make intentional changes. you will be notified after-the-fact of anything they do.

401k matching program is very generous. it starts accruing pretty early in employment as opposed to most companies that make you wait longer until contributions to retirement package starts. Being fully vested after 3 years of employment is also a nice addition to the plan.
