A pension plan is a rarity these days. I have not had this in any of the other companies for which I have worked.

Great "Old School" Pension IF you are a seasoned, top producer. If not, you are out of luck.

There is a pension at five years. However the company tends to term employees prior to that time. Make sure your position is essential and not a quasi temp one that may only be needed for two to five years.

Guardian still has a pension but they are constantly reducing the benefits and if you can't make it to 20 years you have to wait until 65 for full pension.

The Best thing about the retirement plan is the company matches up to 3% of you contributions and they also provide you with a once a year company contribution if you contribute at least 1% of your salary.
