All the instructors have been great, go the extra mile. The online training is great as well.

H & R Block offers many different levels of tax preparer training. Most of the teachers are very good, though there are some exceptions.

New tax preparers attend a thorough training course to learn to do basic tax returns. Additional courses are offered to meet required continuing education.

They gave real effort to teach complicated accounting software in two weeks time.

The training was great although you pay for it out of pocket but the management was very supportive

They offer classes to be taken to lean tax law.

Pretty good income tax course, but it's what you make of it. There were some highly incompetent tax preparers that somehow got through that test and ended up preparing actual tax returns when they had no clue what they were doing. Block should have better quality control. Especially for how expensive they are. They do have some very knowledgeable preparers there, but some bad ones too. At least at the office I was at which was in a somewhat shady area of town.

The worst thing is that the manager did not know how to express herself or explain very well the duties of each individual.
