The compensation package likes to quote a salary that includes variable compensation based upon company performance then after you agree informs you not all of your salary is guaranteed. They have always paid what they quoted to me but it is something to consider because if you need to have your income verified for a mortgage or other financing, they will rarely verify anything other than the base amount. Overall, the people were nice to work with. I would return if they had additional work for me.

medical/dental is decent and not too expensive in terms of payroll deductions. Vacation time is accrued on a basis of 6.7 hours per month, grossly inadequate for salaried position. There was the incentive of being eligible for over-time and on-call pay, however, it is NOT time and a half. It is a screwed-up formula which divides your weekly salary by the total number of hours you work, then for the number of hours above 40, you're paid HALF that hourly rate. The on-call compensation is even worse, I recently was compensated $30 for working 7 hours on-call on a Sunday, effectively screwing the day for the family. 401k contributions start only after one year of service. No real meaningful company perks

Just getting someone to respond and assist was the worse. And once you leave they immediately cut them off. The best thing was you got the package shortly after starting.

My previous PPO employee premuim was about $1000/month. At HCL America, the same is $250/month for family. 401k is matched 4% for 5% of contribution.

Good company works on Employee first philosophy and provides a good place to work. I have passed a long time in company and found right place to work for and recommend other people to work
