They offer friends and family discounts so that others can have discounted stays. The down side is that there is a limit of 30days for a year for discounts.

Employee rates are great, when they are available. The problem is, you pretty much have to go during the off-season anywhere, and even then, it can be difficult to find a room at an employee rate. Food and beverage discounts are also far too restrictive - they are supposed to be 50% across the board, regardless of whether or not you are a guest of the hotel. One property's restaurant staff nearly ruined the surprise engagement dinner with my fiance by demanding we pay full price.

The employee discount was always nice to have. You get team member discounts as well as friends and family discounts. The only downside is the availability isn't always available for the time you need it

You do not get any benefits until you have been with the company for 90 days. Health/Dental/Vision Insurance is extremely expensive. Not really worth getting. Shop elsewhere. Leave is minimal - after first 90 days, you get 2 PTO days and 3 Sick days
