it was a little tough but 7 days will be good for training

They ensure you know what you are doing before throwing you out on your own if you are learning something new.

Employees were trained at a computer, and placed to train with an experienced employee, though for a short amount of time. Employees a lot of times felt as they were "thrown out there".

everyone except for the restaurant and housekeeping have to do online training which is very tedious but necessary for understanding how to operate the computer system set up

Absolutely terrible. Have you sitting at a computer, watching videos for almost 2 weeks before you can go on the job, & even then, my front desk manager did not make sure I was learning anything, she left training up to my co-workers who were not certified trainers.

They provided the TABC certificate training for you as well as Food and Safety Handling. They also made sure you understood the Hilton Garden Inn brand and culture. Other training, such as table prep, and so on was done by another co-worker that was equal to you. While you were trained you were being paid 10$/hour (banquet server pay).

The senior employees and management generally do a terrific job for training the staff.
