The employee discount was only 10%, most other employees at other retail stores get a minimum of 20% and often get 50% off opportunities. This was a very low discount and made little to no different.

The best thing about discount is that it is offered for all of the sister stores also. The worst thing is the percentage amount

At the time I worked there it was 20%. The prices are incredible as it is so the extra was awesome. The products are wonderful and the wide selection made it enjoyable to work there as well, especially for an interior design student which I was at the time.

It was only 10% which is basically taking away tax.

They pay me next to nothing and then heap tons of work on me. 10% seem laughable after all of that. Any gift cards you win count as income on your W2, so it's not even a real incentive.

It is nice to be able to use your employee discount across all the companies brands, but you only receive 10%.

For all the work that is required to do to keep a retail store up to par, 10 % is not enough to keep your employees motivated and/or satisfied. Customers get 10 % all the time for " scatches", therefore employees should get at least 20 % daily.
