Your friends and family can participate as well.

Not much of discounted rates. It is limited to very few products/services. Most of the discounts you will find anyways.

Very few of them are really worth it.

I did not make much use of discount programs there. I did purchase a used laptop through the employee purchase program.

The employee discounts at IBM are garbage. They'll tell you about all the bonuses and cash off you get for being an IBMer, but pretty much their discounts/club portal is just a bunch of refurbished stuff IBM is trying to sell to you or just links to the home page for Verizon.

Good discounts, have a separate devoted website for employee discount

You can pretty much always find better prices on newer equipment on internet. Only real bargains on are refurbished or used equipment.
