Employee Stock Purchase Plan

Discount is pitiful and only adjusted once a quarter based on the the prior quarter stock value. So if stock is in decline or volatile, you can actually end up paying more for the stock via the program. Vesting is very long and huge penalty if you sell before hand.

Quite poor. They give you a 5% discount on buying company stock.

What a joke. It had been 15% off now 5% and the way the price has been going you end up paying IBM! I can't wait to unload my stock if it just would go up!

This is a basic plan like other companies.

IBM discontinued this as part of an overall benefits restructuring that shifted more of the costs to the employees. This is one of the true perks that was cut.

IBM had a great employee stock purchase plan.
