IBM is very liberal about allowing employees to work from home, but it is at the manager's discretion. Unfortunately, many employees abuse this policy, and employees that need to or would benefit from working in the office or being around other people typically don't work in the office. This limits their ability to improve, and client work suffers.

Company has been pretty flexible with the work from home program, but change is underway that will require employees to work in a traditional office setting and traditional office hours. This will reduce the flexibility needed to achieve work/life integration.

If you are in the right department, then you can work fully from home. But you will work long hours.
