I worked an hourly non-communicator position. When I first started, we were eligible for a monthly bonus of around 200 dollars, as long as certain criteria were met. They then changed it to 100 dollars every three months, as long as we maintained an attendance record of around 85 percent. They basically stopped giving us a bonus for working hard, and started giving us a dollar a day to just show up. It was insulting.

The best thing is it's nice to get a performance bonus. But the worse thing is it changes ALL THE TIME! AT THEIR OWN DESCRITION! You are not Guaranteed a bonus. You can be getting $100 a week with one company then the rules change and $5 next week. You CANNOT depend on it! And sometimes only the top 20% of the people get the bonus! Their can be 100 people in a room and a small fraction get a decent bonus. There's woman who get almost $100 a week for a year (or a long time) and then it's taken from them even though they didn't do anything wrong and there great at sales. But the company decides to lower the bonus to $5 or $20-$40 a week, you just never know.
