Job Training

At Ingles Markets you will train for a total of 12 hours which is usually separated into 3 four hour shifts. After your training, you will be on your own.

At the time we had a team leader whom judged people harshley she wouldn't train me to my full potential but I complained to management about her and they quickly took care of the problem

Sometimes the people training you are new and don't know what they are doing.

They make sure you feel comfortable before you do your job. They never want you to not think you're ready

They get another person who does the job you were hired for to train you. And the training turn around is 2 days & then you are on your own. If you don't have common sense or if you're not smart, you won't survive. It's quick paced. As a CSM, most of the teens we hired didn't know how to interact or function with other people because these teens were used to socializing with electronics, not actual people.

The training is done by your department manager and it's very simple

All the things is so bad

No consistency. Everyone shows you a different way of doing things.

People care but more should be done to train employees.

This was my first job, so I was eased in at a manageable pace and it's alright if you don't learn all the codes of the produce, bagged trail mixes, etc. because there will be a sheet at your cash register.
