Covance gives 7 holidays - nothing exceptional, but at least you have them.

You get major holidays off.

You are supposed to get holidays off but since this facility houses animals, someone has to bite the bullet to make sure these animals are cared for. You will get stuck working some holidays, but not all of them. You get paid really well for them though. And if you dont work, you get standard pay for 8 hours.

-You receive 18 days paid time off per year. However, they don’t give you sick leave. On a sever weather day or when you get sick, they make you use your paid time off to take that day off. -You can work overtime if you want to. However, on the weeks when there is a holiday or you use paid time off, they don’t count it as you worked 40hrs/wk so you don’t receive overtime pay even if you work extra hours. -If you work less than 40 hrs/wk, they deduct hours from your paid time off. -They only give you 6 holidays per year(New year’s day, Memorial day, Independence day, Labor day, Thanksgiving day, Christmas day).

7 days. Unless you are normally not scheduled to work them (like Mondays off) then they take them away from you. Alternative schedules result in less holiday family time. Stick with 1st shift Mon-Fri to get the promised 7 days.
