A lot of PTO given out per year broken down into different buckets. Fixed PTO is 6 holidays that everyone has off. Granted PTO is additional time that you can take off. Floating holiday is given to those who's business units work between the Christmas Years shut down. If your unit is shut down, then you don't get the floating hours; but if your unit does work, you are given the same amount of hours that you can use anytime during the year. You also accrue PTO every month, this is the only category that can be rolled over as long as you want until you hit the cap.
