Family Medical Leave

Is this the same as maternity leave? Maternity is, you go through your vacation days first, and if you use too many before the baby is born you don't get paid as much, then you get like 60% for disability and you have to file for disability. But you get to keep your job if you're gone no more than 8 weeks. It's not much. For family I think it's the same but you don't get paid.
