Short-Term Disability Insurance

MetroStar-paid benefit of 60% of weekly pay up to a maximum of $2,500 per week, for up to 12 weeks. Elimination period of 1 week in the case of accident or sickness. No elimiation period for hospitalization.

Long-Term Disability Insurance

MetroStar-paid benefit of 60% of monthly pay, up to a maximum of $12,000 per month, after elimination period. Employees pay tax on cost of premiums so benefit payments are not subjected to taxes.
