Very good coverage, may be paid for by MSU or a specific department.

The health insurance is basically the same insurance they offer for undergraduates. You have to go to on-campus health centers for everything.

The health insurance is only OK. It is definitely a step down from my previous job. They won't cover dependents if the dependent's own employer offers insurance, unless that insurance costs more than $800 per year out of pocket, which basically means if your spouse has lousy insurance available to them through their job, they have to take it.

It is what you would expect from a big-10 school. Highly customizable though.
