They make a big deal about giving and company matching. There is a program that runs in the Fall to encourage employees to pick a charity and deduct from their check. Microsoft matches up to about $10,000 I believe.

This is one of the best Microsoft benefits. They do Gift matching at 100% in cash or software, and volunteer hours for a charitable organization can be submitted for cash payment to the organization at about 17.00 per hour against the volunteer hours.
