Sick days rolled from year to year, but they removed the ability to use it for maternity leave in 2019

We got sick days but it was never really advertised and you were not supposed to use it.

4 hours every month. Unused personal time can roll over in sick time.

It's great that a part timer gets those benefits but you have to have a doctor's note depending on the manager. Which sucks because not every sickness needs medical attention, as an example is the common cold.

Payless stores are like family that means we all looked out for each other. If you were sick and couldn't make it in we worked together to try and cover your shift. Management was pretty easy going about calling out sick as long as you didn't abuse it.

It's a shame they won't let me select zero stars.... None the less it didn't matter if you had sick days, you weren't really allowed to call out. I never missed a single day in a year and a half of working their. However I did get to observe the process with coworkers of mine. Basically what happens is you get the third degree from your manager even if it was just one time you missed. And then if they decided to let you off it was based on the condition that you had to take a list of phone numbers down and call one of your co-workers to cover your shift. If you didn't call them or nobody was available you were expected to come in and work your shift. Otherwise it was treated as a no call no show which never did but could have lead to immediate termination.

youre limited and it is calculated on the hours you have work year to date . not the best but better than others
