Bonuses are bonuses only and come and go. The review and calculation formula seems to change every year, so never depend on them. Due to the current reorganizations, some bonuses or minimal or non-existent.

Pearson offers a performance bonus (AIP) instead of giving meaningful raises, but problem 1 with this is it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a higher performance rating than "Meets Expectations," and they didn't pay out on the 2015 AIP at all (despite making hundreds of millions in profit).

Unless you are in a sales role, bonuses are only given if company meets or exceeds expectations. Warning--No bonuses in 2016!

Most of the time we don't get the full bonus; as a hard working individual contributor this is hard to take year after year. this year we got nothing and only a 1% raise.

If an employee can consistently deliver high quality work at a rapid rate he/she will earn a daily bonus.

It's really a crap shoot as to if you get one. They change the entire corporate structure every year so I see no point in thinking about it.

Usually 10-20% of salary, payouts have not been 100% in awhile though.
