WORK FROM HOME FLEXIBLE
Employees are given 52 work from home days per calendar year to schedule with their manager’s approval to work from home.
This does not include days when the unexpected occurs like, picking up a sick child from school, running home to take care of an immediate need there, or working from home when you have tested positive or are exposed to COVID-19, these are considered working from home at my manager’s discretion.
Federal and Non-Federal Site-critical employees are NOT eligible for this program based on their job requirements to be onsite to support Facilities Operations.
These programs encourage a healthy remote working environment.
The QTS Employee Student Scholarship Program is available to children of current QTS employees or deceased employees.
This program provides competitive, merit‐based scholarships with a maximum annual award of $5,000 which can be used to cover higher education expenses including tuition, room and board, and other institutional expenses related to receiving a degree. The scholarship is renewable for a total of four years of college education.
QTS has many opportunities for employees to volunteer! One of our employee benefits is three work days (24 hours) per year as paid volunteer days to be used at any time and one work day (8 hours) per year to volunteer specifically for Juneteenth, for a total of four days (32 hours) paid volunteer time annually for each employee.
QTS offers this benefit to help to fulfill our goal to provide the necessary manpower to assist charitable organizations in fulfilling their missions within our communities, while at the same time developing our culture of happier, more engaged, and more productive employees who positively impact our communities as ambassadors of QTS.
QTS recognizes it can be challenging to rejuvenate and focus on personal growth and development while working full time.
Q-Rest
Q-Rest is designed to provide eligible QTSers with dedicated time to refresh and recharge while also creating opportunities for other QTSers to learn new responsibilities and further develop their skills as they provide coverage for those on Q-Rest. Exempt and non-site critical QTSers will receive paid Q-Rest time off to be used over one continuous absence.
Q-Trip
Site critical non-exempt QTSers will receive a Q-Rest trip designed to help QTSers who have reached milestone service anniversaries spend time relaxing with family on a partially company-funded trip. QTSers receiving a Q-Rest trip can choose to take their trip on days they are not scheduled to work, or on scheduled workdays by utilizing PTO, or a combination of the two.
