After a one-week waiting period, associates receive payments of 66.67% of weekly base pay (or 40% in states that provide state disability plans) for up to 12 weeks for a doctor-certified disability.
Long-Term: Company-paid, long-term disability insurance provides eligible associates with a source of income if the associate continues to be unable to work beyond the short-term disability period because of a qualified illness or injury. Long-term disability benefits begin after a 90-day waiting period and last for as long as the associate meets the definition of long-term disability and complies with the provisions of the plan. The benefit amount is based on 60% of the associate’s monthly base pay to a maximum of $7,500 per month.
