Pro-deals are the best thing ever!!! Companies will give you great offers sometimes even up to 90% off their gear so that you can rave to your customers about the brand. It's the quickest way to spend your paycheck. I have such nice gear now that will last for ages.

REI employees, due to their low base bay, receive incentive pricing from vendors in order to make the items affordable.

This was the best thing about working there. We used to get 50% off REI brand products, 30% off in store other products and insane deals on the pro-deal website, and occasionally super-prodeals. However you could not return a pro-deal you you had to be really cautious that it was exactly what you wanted. Also occasionally companies would mess-up things in your order... and sadly no returns.. doh!

50% off of REI and Novara brand products for personal use or dependent children. 30% off for personal use or gifts that you purchase. Pro-Deals from vendors that range from 30-75% off.
