RH contracted with a production company, which was a good watchdog for employees in CA, including accumulated hours of sick leave.

RH ran on a demerit system that was draconian, and this was even mentioned as part of the new hire orientation, that most employees would be terminated for attendance policy reasons.

Yes, you get paid for sick time as it accrues based off of hours worked.

Accrual of sick days, but don't expect to use them without feeling guilty, or making up for it down the road. Unused sick days are not paid out so I'd recommend using them.

If you try to use this, be prepared for 1, an attitude, 2, proof you are sick, 3, a doctors note for every day you have to take off, 4, an attitude when you present the dr's note to HR, and 5, diminished work hours in retaliation to you being sick, I got the flu and had to take off for three days. Went to the dr and presented note when I came back, and HR lady was extremely rude to me. I was working the night shift, and full time, and coming back in to work, saw my schedule had been cut to 4 hours for the rest of the week, and the next week got on call status. I worked for 6 more months like this, so I ended my relationship with the company.
