Overall the health insurance is pretty good. I did notice our company doesn't allow teladoc to offer all services and the health insurance plan covers nothing for obesity management. That's not uncommon now. It would be nice to have obesity management coverage due to the sedentary nature of the job.

The health insurance is affordable and covers most routine visits. They use Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi for all employees, except for those in Alabama. The plan is a grandfathered plan making it exempt from some of the Affordable Care Act and does not fully cover preventative care. For example, newborn preventative care benefits do not begin until they are 8 days old.

It takes a little while for it to kick in. i believe the representative came around once ever other quarter. If you refused health issurance you didn't get another opportunity for 6 months.
