Childcare and health insurance coverage are two of the best benefits. The beautiful campus and individual offices are also a nice fringe benefit.

SAS isn’t keeping up with market trends for salaries, perks aren’t unique any longer. WFH is manager dependent. Professional training for non tech positions does not exist. On site lunches aren’t hardy but politically correct and expensive. Salary increases for the last 8 of 9 years has been poor to zero. Bonuses depend on if they like you. Experience isn’t valued only taken advantage of. The 35 hour week has disappeared in some areas and moving toward extinction in others. Expectations for layoffs as IPO or sell off approaches. 10 years is too long to wait for a bump in vacation time. There is no increase after 10 years. Retirement Plan = 401k, nothing more. No retiree healthcare and no direct help to navigate the Medicare sign up. No help with bridging to Medicare if you retire before 65. Basically there is no incentive for the older employee except to hang on till retirement.
