There are a lot of advantages such as work life balance, but the options to work from home are limited

Great Health insurance, 401k with 6% matching, performance bonus, holidays, vacation,
on site healthcare, on site daycare, discounted lunches, free breakrooms, free charging stations for EV car owners.
Worst thing is workers dont realize how great the benefits are until they leave or retire.

The benefits are wonderful. I have worked for insurance and other financial companies and none come close to SAS benefits

Total compensation, especially with a still better than industry average medical plan, is fair for RDC. I'm still on the fence on how I feel about wanting SAS to be a publicly traded company. I'd love to share in the company's success with RDUs and an ESPP, but I also know that the second SAS goes public (if that ever happens) things would change drastically around campus, and a lot of the little perks would start vanishing to make Wall Street happy.
401K is nice, and the 6% match is generous, though it used to be a flat out contribution without matching. I take advantage of the plan and the matching change had zero effect on me, but I can see how some people might feel like they're losing out now.
Other than that, there are a ton of perks for working at SAS in Cary, and they still remain one of the more generous companies you're going to see when it comes to making sure their employees are happy while in the office. Of course, the cynic can say that's the point, to keep you in the office, but... You're going to be at work, anyway. Might as well get some nice perks while you're there!

The benefits are really great at SAS. Great health insurance, 401k, as a remote employee they reimburse you for gym memberships and parking or public transportation. Unlimited sick days too.
