I've worked remotely for Salesforce for over 6 years and have had very minimal travel requirements within that time - this can be difficult if your used to the team building and atmosphere that comes with working in the office - but at the time has allow alot of flexibility to manage your work. You have to learn to shut down and seperate work from home.
