Vacation & Paid Time Off

The vacation and time off was great but based on my role it was nearly impossible to take time off when I wanted to because I needed to arrange coverage. On paper, my vacation and paid time off was good but at the site there were many hoops to jump through before getting the go ahead to actually get approved time off. Christmas time consistently was a game of draw straws to see who had to be engineering coverage. Being from out of town, it was disappointing when local engineers would refuse to cover people who had families far away around holidays.
