employees were given a very sad 10% discount..but customers were given much more simply by asking for it or claiming they saw a better price at a competitor or if the price on the shelf was less? no one ever checked? and the markup is outrageous

It is a 10% discount. Nothing that great. Can find better deals on amazon most the time

It's a decent amount, and the value increases when purchasing Staples-brand items, but is not applicable towards any other discounts that could be applied (coupons, price matching, rebates, etc.)
