Family Medical Leave

They are very family oriented and if you have to be absent they will understand.

Took medical leave without approval and got job abandonment. Had surgery went in 4 days later cause they were at the beach and couldn't take ofdown. Waited until another girl got back from vacation and quit. No one ever asked why.

Some managers give you grief, but some are understanding. Most approvals are done through a third party vendor.

state farm provides family insurance to all the employees

Family Medical Leave is unpaid leave, even if you are disabled for that time. It was never very clear what was covered, nor was it clear / outlined how much FML was allowed.
