Bonuses vary by department, year, and position. My first year at SS, as an A1, I got a $350.00 bonus. The next year I was an A2 and received about an $1,000.00 bonus. I became a senior the next year and received about an $2,300.00 bonus. I remained a senior and this last year due to the company having to pay large amounts due to a situation where the company over billed some clients, they drastically cut back on bonuses and raises. I only received a $1,350 bonus this past year.
If you are an outstanding employee, you can also earn a merit based raise at any time in the year. The amount depends on the budget of the department. These are called "Top Performers" raises. I received one shortly after becoming an A2 which was a 12% raise increase. However, being nominated for a "Top Performers" raise is dependent on your manager recognizing your hard work & contributions, AND that they take the time to actually submit you for this award. Many managers at state street don't do anything to reward or recognize their employees. I only had one manager that did. I have continued to work hard and to be apart of special projects, but I haven't received any reward, recognition, or any sort of sign that they realize and appreciate all the hard work I do in several years.
