No professional development program at this company

A lot of the roles, specifically within Global Services division, do not provide an interesting learning environment for anyone looking for a career in investment management. Unfortunately, a lot of roles are specific to working with support teams of clients and involve a narrow focus on a specific function of fund accounting, fund admin or investment operations. There is opportunity to gain more excel skills and experience with Bloomberg terminals. Also, they do offer certain programs for professional development, but I am not familiar with whether these programs solely satisfy company needs or if they actually provide strong professional development. In addition, they are supposedly making investments in an improved employee learning platform but that has yet to materialize. The company also has several networking groups through which you can meet plenty of people.
