The discount is 40% off and just for you but my manager let us get the gift cards at the 40% off discount. Then with that gift card we could buy for anyone we wanted to with it. It was a legal way of getting around buying a 40% off item for my girlfriend or even my sister. My store felt it was very fair since as a part timer it was the only benefit I got. Even after being their for years I never got any paid vacation time. So that discount purchase of a gift card was great.
