Vacation requests for entry level employees are denied by default. This is because of lack of coverage due to chronic understaffing. This is due to the unwillingness to pay above starvation wages.

The PTO plan is good, you can almost always get the days off you need. The PTO rate is about 5 hrs per pay period.
